Hotel Winneshiek - Decorah

The hotel is located right in the center of downtown, making it convenient to explore the shops, bars, and restaurants in the area. Guests have mentioned that all the public areas of the hotel are spotless and well, maintained. the rooms are comfortable and clean, and some even have unique and quirky decorations like pictures of dogs. the staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful, providing top, notch service. the on, site restaurant offers delicious food, with the ribs being a highly recommended dish.

Some guests have mentioned that the walls in the rooms are thin, which can result in noise from neighboring rooms being heard.

Beautiful location by the Upper Iowa River. Great for a weekend getaway. The majority of the staff were very helpful! 🌟

There is cafe Magpie Coffeehouse, set 500 feet walk away. Porter House Museum is really walkable. Excellant place for discovering Decorah:)))

Great location, within walking distance of multiple restaurants and attractions. Lovely vintage space with clean rooms and excellent overall service.- Close proximity to downtown stores and attractions.- Comfortable beds with heavy drapes for a good night's sleep.

Inconsistent replenishment of items in the room by housekeeping. Lack of control over the heating/air conditioning in the room.

We enjoyed our recent stay in a vintage hotel in the heart of a charming town. the rooms were beautifully arranged with period pieces and felt authentic. the staff was friendly and helpful and provided us with clean toiletries. One of the best aspects was the central location, within walking distance of shops and restaurants. the linens were clean and fresh.

We were dismayed by the inconsistencies of the hot and cold water in the shower. the floors were creaky, and bedding felt outdated.
